Nowadays, Nabil Group is a multinational company that distributes the majority of its products under the well-known brand names “Nabil,” “Naba,” and “Foodela.”.The “Foodela” brand is an exclusive commercial consumer goods item that is designed for each residential user in their day-to-day lives.Along with business amelioration, Nabil group is also renowned for its corporate social responsibilities(CSR). The term “Corporate Social Responsibility” (CSR) relates to the determination of a corporation to operate its operations in an ethical manner while also making a contribution to the growth of the economy by contributing to the enhancement of the standard of life for its workers, their households, communities at large, as well as society in general.
Nabil group encompasses an extensive range of projects that are designed to improve community life and the surroundings, as well as to enhance an organization’s image and the level of employee participation in the organization’s work. In early 2024,the outbreak of the winter season was witnessed by the people of Bangladesh. Winter is neither a pleasurable season nor a time of celebration for individuals living below the poverty line as their circumstances deteriorate amid adverse weather conditions. Individuals residing outdoors frequently lack access to blankets or warm clothing to shield themselves from the frigid temperatures. A significant number of individuals in our country endure considerable hardship due to the harshness of winter. Nabil’s group of industries took a step by considering the needs of vulnerable people during the winter season.They conducted a programme to give blankets to those who were considered to be marginalised in the vicinity of Nabil Industrial Park Daukandi, Paba, Rajshahi, on January 2, 2024.It was immensely commendable as the poor people benefitted from the programme.
Simultaneously, during the month of Ramadan in 2024, the humanitarian activities of the Nabil group also got attention as it did immensely significant work for the welfare of vulnerable societies. In Ramadan, Muslims observe a fast from sunrise to dusk. During the daylight hours, this entails refraining from consuming any food or drink. In the evening, a meal known as iftar is consumed in order to break the fast. For fasting the whole day,it is necessary to break the fast with good food. Unfortunately, most of the people of Bangladesh don’t get that food due to their poverty.Feeling this need, the Nabil Group of Industries carried out a program to provide Iftar items to people who were walking by in the Rajshahi metropolitan area from March 26 2024 to April 7 2024, the Nabil Group of Industries.
Along with that, they also worked to empower women by doing humanitarian work. In Bangladesh, women, especially widows, are the most vulnerable community in male dominated society. Widows and general women’s face numerous slanders and notorious slang due to their unemployment status. They are considered as waste individuals in society. To overcome those obstacles, they had to find some work to get respect in the eye of society. Based on the need, On March 7, 2024, the Chairman of the Nabil Group of Industries, Md. Jahan Box Mandol, gave away sewing machines to those who were unable to provide for themselves, including widows and the destitute. Their goals of empowering females via entrepreneurship is to provide women with the knowledge, tools, and support they require in order to launch and develop ventures that are successful. They focused on enduring transformations in the lives of marginalised individuals rather than merely addressing current requirements. In many cases, women entrepreneurs are confronted with societal and cultural obstacles, which can make it challenging for them to achieve success in
business. Nabil group gave the support to assist women in overcoming these obstacles and achieving success in their enterprises .Hence,they significantly provide an environment that is encouraging for women, which recognises and promotes women’s entrepreneurial endeavours.
In addition,they provide over five fundreds of health services each year, feeling the need for medical servies for the poor people. They donated more than 25 charitable organisations that work for the welfare of mass people.In recent years,more than thousands of victims have gotten help and support from the Nabil group.
So, Nabil Group’s proactive role in corporate social responsibility projects, concentrating on health,women empowerment, and humanitarian work, is significantly good for society.
